The Outside Space expresses the spirit of curiousity and discovery that are so evidently important to Cousteau. Th relationship between the keyhole and platforms express the sheer thrill of discovery and exploration, as the player (or scientist) can zoom through the keyhole along almost surreal ramps on the journey of knowledge. The faraway platform allows the scientists to look back upon the whole space and could act as a meeting place for the two. As they are both interested in observation and the quest for knowledge, this platform could be a perfect place for them to be inspired by their spaces.
Nobel's space explores the ideas and observation of similarities and differances through the use of cubes. These cubes (though all the same shape) are arranged at different angles with different textures to create interest. The mesh texture on the inside of the one cube almost seems to have a life of its own, like a beating heart or a working brain, it flickers and transforms. While the central floating cube reminds the scientist of the simplicity and beauty of the forms that make up this space.
